Study Abroad Ambassador Program

At the University of Canberra, we encourage students to make the most of their overseas experience.  We hope you will get involved on campus upon returning, sharing your experience with fellow students and helping visiting international students feel more at home.  After all, now you know what it feels like to study away from home!

What is a Study Abroad Ambassador?

The Study Abroad Ambassador Program is a new and exciting way to get involved.  Ambassadors are study abroad/exchange returnees who are passionate about their experience abroad and wish to share their insight and knowledge with fellow students.  Ambassadors assist the Study Abroad and Exchange Office by promoting study abroad and preparing future participants via email and events including pre-departure orientation, O-week, Open Day or classroom presentations.

Benefits of Being an Ambassador

  • Share your passion for study abroad
  • Spend time with inbound exchange students
  • Enhance your resume through leadership, event planning and service
  • Certificate upon completion
  • Eligibility for Ambassador of the Semester Award
  • Ambassador reception upon completion
