Student Accommodation
The University Residences (called ‘Ressies’) are just a short walk from campus and set in landscaped gardens of native trees, shrubs and wildlife. Most Study Abroad and Exchange students choose to live in this lively atmosphere, close to shopping malls, markets, movie theatres, nature reserves, Lake Ginnindera and cycling and jogging tracks.
Guaranteed Housing Options
The Study Abroad and Exchange Office offers guaranteed on-campus housing with Arscott House and the University of Canberra Village (CLV). As places are in demand, students must nominate their housing preference on their UC Study Abroad and Exchange Application Form and submit the form on time to secure a guaranteed placement.
Arscott House is a fully catered 214 bed facility directly across the road from the University campus, next to Lake Ginninderra, parkland and close to the Belconnen Mall. Arscott House has agreed to waive the application fee and provide bed linen to Study Abroad and Exchange students who apply through our office. Arscott contracts are 18 weeks long and students are expected to pay the weekly rate for the full contract term.
The University of Canberra Village (CLV) is the University’s largest accommodation facility. This self-catered accommodation is located on the University campus and offers a variety of options from twelve room share accommodation to one, two, and five-bedroom units. CLV contracts are 24 weeks long and students are expected to pay the weekly rate for the full contract term, regardless of late arrival or early departure.
Bedding and Kitchen Packages can be provided by CLV at an additional cost. Due to high demand at the Village, students should apply online at www.ucvillage.com.au as soon as possible for the best chance of securing their preference.
