International Student Compliance
The University of Canberra’s International Student Compliance team is responsible for ensuring that International Students are compliant with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) framework as set out in the National Code 2007.
The Australian Government has established this legislative framework to protect the interests of overseas students and ensure the provision of quality education in order to maintain Australia’s reputation as a safe and rewarding place to study. More information on the ESOS framework please visit http://aei.gov.au/AEI/ESOS/.
There may be other conditions attached to your student visa which are not covered by ESOS. Some standard student visa conditions include work limitations and Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC) requirements.
As an International Student, it is your responsibility to be aware of all your visa conditions.
For further information on your student visa conditions visit the DIAC website at http://www.immi.gov.au/students/visa-conditions-students.htm
If you require face to face assistance relating to your International Student status please visit the International Student Advisors. The International Student Advisors are located in the Student Centre, Building 1. Appointments can be made at http://www.canberra.edu.au/seasu/intl-student-support
