Student Checklist for Graduation

Checklist A is for students who wish to attend a March, 2012 ceremony. Checklist B is for students who wish to confer their award in absentia (not attend a ceremony).

Checklist A (attending):

I have:

  1. Read the graduation information available on the UC Graduation web pages. 
  2. Confirmed my award and name details are correct on my invitation.
  3. RSVP'd to my invitation on MyUC or by emailing the Student Progress and Graduation Office by 17 February, 2012. I understand that the Student Progress and Graduation Office will not contact me to confirm receipt.
  4. Settled any outstanding debts (excluding HECS) I have with UC. 
  5. Advised the UC AccessAbility Office of any special seating requirements that I or my guests may need by emailing accessability@canberra.edu.au or phoning 6201 5233.
  6. Purchased my guest tickets from Canberra Ticketing by 2 March, 2012. YOU MUST READ THE IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING GUEST TICKETS ON THE TICKET INFORMATION WEB PAGE.
  7. Received confirmation via letter/email of my eligibility to graduate.
  8. Made arrangements to be at Parliament House at least 1.5 hours prior to the ceremony in order to register and collect my gown on time.
  9. Pay for Gown hire here. Gowns may also be hired on the day of your ceremony – cash payments only, including deposit.

  10. Updated my MyUC mailing address to reflect the address I want all future correspondence from UC sent to.

  11. Noted that my access to MyUC will cease shortly after my course completion.
  12. Informed all guests to arrive at least an hour early to allow time for parking due to availability and time restrictions. 

Checklist B (in absentia):

I have:

  1. Read the graduation information available on the UC Graduation web pages. 
  2. Confirmed my award and name details are correct on my invitation. 
  3. RSVP to my invitation on MyUC or by emailing the Student Progress and Graduation Office by 17 February, 2012. I understand that the Student Progress and Graduation Office will not contact me to confirm receipt.
  4. Settled any outstanding debts (excluding HECS) I have with UC.
  5. Received confirmation via letter/email of my eligibility to graduate.
  6. Updated my MyUC mailing address to the address I want my testamur and all future correspondence from UC posted to.
  7. Noted that testamurs will be mailed in October and may take up to 6 weeks to arrive.
  8. Noted that my access to MyUC will cease shortly after my graduation.
