Credit Transfer Arrangement (Articulation)

Please read the following important message regarding current Articulation /Credit Transfer Arrangements (CTA's) before progressing to the Database:

Unless otherwise specified, Credit Transfer Arrangements (CTA's) currently active in this database are valid for students who have already commenced or will commence in courses at the University of Canberra by no later than Semester 2 2011.

Due to significant changes to some course structures and the closure of others, some arrangements may undergo minor or moderate changes and become inactive for 2012 and beyond. New versions of CTA's along with with amended Typical Study Plans will be uploaded as the review process progresses.

If you are currently completing an external course at one of our partner institutions and plan to articulate into one of the courses offered at the University of Canberra in 2012 where a CTA has been available, please revisit this database at the time of your application to ensure that the CTA still applies and to enable you to access the correct version of that CTA and the updated Typical Study Plan for your course.

What is Articulation (CTA)?

Articulation refers to a transfer of a pre-approved amount of credit which is automatically granted toward a companion course at the University of Canberra at the time of a student's enrolment.

CTA's exist between numerous University of Canberra courses and external companion courses at partner institutions both in Australia and overseas.

All students who successfully complete an external course which is part of an approved articulation arrangement will be granted the amount of credit which is applicable under that arrangement.

Credit Transfer with CIT

If you are admitted under an approved credit transfer arrangement you will not need to apply for credit separately - it will be awarded to you automatically, shortly after your enrolment at UC. For more information go to CIT Pathways

Credit Transfer with Other Institutions

In addition to the agreement with CIT, UC has agreements with other institutions. These agreements identify the credit available in a UC course on the basis of a specific course at the other institution. The agreements are mainly with overseas institutions, and are currently under review. Information about existing arrangements can be obtained from the Director of the International Office. If you are an international student and there is an agreement in place which applies to you, any credit for which you are eligible will be listed on your letter of offer. If you are an international student seeking credit for studies that are not part of an credit transfer arrangement you should follow the standard credit application procedure for details go to Credit & PRL
