Before You Apply

1. Select your Course
2. Do you meet our English Language and Qualifications Entry Requirements?
3. Do you have the required documents for your application?
4. Does your course require a supplementary application? 
5. Please check our Principal Dates page for Closing dates for Application, Commencement of semesters, Orientation Week etc.
6. Download an Application form for English Language preparation courses at the UC English Language Institute (UCELI) if required.  For more information on UCELI (including IELTS testing) please go to the UCELI website.

Step 1

• or fill in an International Application form and send it via mail, fax, e-mail
• or bring it in person to the University of Canberra.
• or send an International Application form through one of our representative offices in your home country. If you apply through one of our representative offices, that office will pass the application on to us.

Step 2

If your application is successful:

We will send you a letter of offer. This letter will:

1. explain the course that you have been accepted into.
2. advise you of any pre-requisites that you need to meet before you can be formally accepted into the course.
3. confirm the fees that are payable and the course start date, including Enrolment & Orientation week date.
4. include information about on-campus accommodation,
5. include an acceptance of offer declaration for you to complete.

If your application is not successful, we will write to you explaining why.

Accepting Your Offer

Important Notes

1. Domestically-based Year 12 students who completed their studies offshore (not in Australia), and wish to apply to study at a University in Australia, please apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
2. If you are a citizen or permanent resident of the USA you may apply for a US Department of Education loan to cover your tuition and other expenses at UC.
