Equity and Access
In order to assist students aspire to and access higher education, the University of Canberra offers a number of initiatives and programs. Many of these initiatives are designed to assist with overcoming barriers to access by Australian resident undergraduate students from low socio-economic status (SES) backgrounds. Such students include, but are not limited to, low SES Indigenous students, low SES students with a disability, and low SES students from a non-English speaking background. Campus visits and programs

Equity-based scholarships
The University offers a range of scholarships to support students throughout their studies. There is a variety of different scholarships available for different categories of students including, but not limited to, equity scholarships for disadvantaged students, Indigenous scholarships, scholarships for rural students and scholarships for women.
Enhancing regional participation in higher education
The Enhancing Regional Participation in Higher Education project is a University of Canberra project, funded under the Commonwealth Government Structural Adjustment and Diversity Fund. The project aims to enhance higher education participation and learning outcomes for students from low socio-economic backgrounds.
