The heirs and friends of the late Lorna May, a graduate of the University, established a memorial bursary to assist needy mature-age female students undertaking their first degree of undergraduate studies at the University of Canberra and are single supporting parents. It is intended that beneficiaries of the bursary will be women in circumstances similar to those in which Lorna May found herself when studying. The Lorna May Award provides a one off cash grant of up to $1000.00 (depending on number of eligible applicants).
