2012 Zonta Club of Canberra Breakfast “Jane M Klausman Women in Business” Scholarship
The Zonta Club of Canberra Breakfast is pleased to open applications for this prize. The prize supports women in pursuing undergraduate and Masters degrees in business related management courses to advance the status of women in business and the boardroom. Any woman undertaking a business and/or business related program at a university / college / institute in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through a final year of a Masters program at the time the application is submitted, is eligible to apply. The Club will award $1,000 to the applicant who demonstrates commitment, ambition and initiative in pursuing a career in business, including strong academic results.

Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP) Tertiary Scholarship 2012
IYLP is funded by the Federal Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). In 2012, there will be 136 students across Australia on IYLP Tertiary Scholarships. Tertiary scholarship funding ($6,000) can be used towards enrollment and tuition fees, text books and other essential educational costs. With additional funding (up to $1,250) to support leadership development.
Applications for Tertiary scholarships for 2012 are now open. The closing date for applications is Friday 20th January 2012, however applicants should submit their applications as early as possible.

2011-2012 Dean's Prestigious Summer Scholarships
Each year the Otago School of Medical Sciences at the University of Otago offers a small number of Dean's Prestigious Summer Scholarships. These scholarships provide a wonderful opportunity for students who are considering postgraduate study.
Applications are now open for the 2011-2012 Dean's Prestigious Summer Scholarships. These Scholarships are available for a 10-week period between November 2011 and March 2012 for study in one of the departments in the Otago School of Medical Sciences. Australian Geographic Society - Environmental Scholarship

The Prime Minister's Australia Asia Endeavour Awards
The Prime Minister's Australia Asia Endeavour Awards will provide scholarships for the best and brightest university students from Australia and Asia.
They provide the unique opportunity for postgraduates and undergraduates to undertake not only international study and research, but also internships or work placements. The Awards aim to build deep and enduring education and professional linkages between Australia and Asia. They also provide an opportunity for Australian universities and the Australian Government to work in partnership to identify and reward high calibre scholars.

Saver Plus Program
The Smith Family has an innovative program that will give you $1 for every $1 saved up to $500.
Saver Plus has been developed through a partnership between The Smith Family and the ANZ Bank and is based on successful overseas programs that have helped eligible families establish or enhance regular savings habits. This program is also designed to help families put aside money to assist with the cost of education for children.
Saver Plus is open to everyone in the community who meets the qualifying criteria.
If you meet the Saver Plus eligibility criteria, then every $1 you save (up to $500) will be matched with $1 extra. So, if you saved $500 you would be credited with an additional $500 effectively earning 100% on your savings! The money must be used for educational expenses such as computer, uniforms, books, etc.
You may be eligible to join Saver Plus if you and/or your partner:
- Have a regular income from paid employment and are able to produce the two most recent pay slips, and
- Have a current Health Care Card and /or Pension Card, and
- Are an adult 18 years or over, and either:
- Have a child/ren attending a government or independent primary or secondary school in 2007 or 2008, or
- Are attending or returning to vocational education where they will receive an accredited vocational education certificate
