The 2009 Higher Education Research Data Collection (HERDC) for research published in 2008 will begin early in January 2009. Research Services Office will circulate all relevant information at that time, pending receipt of the HERDC guidelines from DEEWR. Please note that this Collection is not retrospective. If a 2008 publication misses inclusion in this collection it cannot be counted in subsequent years. The Research Services Office coordinates the overall publications collection. Once all the data has been collated and entered on the ResearchMaster database RSO will conduct an internal audit to ensure that all publications meet the DEEWR criteria. The ultimate responsibility for ensuring that publications are captured in the University collection rests with each individual researcher. Publication data in the official collection will be used for Academic Promotions, the University Annual Report, future government research assessment reports plus internal schemes and review. The University of Canberra is currently reviewing its process and forms. For further information on research publication collection please email Publications. |
