About the Survey

The Regional Wellbeing Survey is an annual survey of residents living in Australia's rural and regional areas. First conducted in 2013, it examines the wellbeing of people in rural and regional communities, and how this wellbeing is influenced by the many social, economic and environmental changes occurring in these communities. The results of the survey enable the provision of insights that support the development of strategies to build wellbeing, resilience and adaptive capacity in rural and regional Australia. The survey produces high quality data from University of Canberra researchers committed to examining the issues that matter to people living in rural and regional Australia.
