Three Minute Thesis

Three Minute Thesis at the University of Canberra

Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a research communication competition that challenges higher degree by research (HDR) students to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance in just three minutes in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

The University of Canberra stages an internal 3MT competition each year, attracting entries from a variety of faculties, University Research Institutes and research centres.

The University offers a researcher development training opportunity to enhance HDR presentation, pitching, networking and communication skills, which will benefit you during your candidature, your on-going career as well as in the 3MT competition itself. Entrants into the competition have the opportunity to win money from the $3,500 prize pool.

The 2018 UC 3MT final will be held on Thursday 30 August from 6.00-8pm at the University of Canberra.
