Principal's Recommendation Scheme

The Principal’s Recommendation Scheme is open to all current Year 12 students studying in Australia.

Applications are based on the Principal’s assessment of the students performance and their endorsement of each application. The deadline for applications is 30 September each year.

Applicants do not need to be eligible for an ATAR. Recommendations made by the Principal may be based on the following;

  1. The student(s) show potential to succeed at University based on personal strengths and characteristics; and / or
  2. The student(s) show potential to succeed academically in their course of preference based on personal aptitude and performance in school subject areas.

Applicants under 18 years of age must have permission from a Parent/ Guardian to study in the University of Canberra Principal’s Recommendation Scheme.

To be eligible for an offer, applicants must apply through UAC and the UC course must be their first preference. Not all courses are open for entry via the Principal’s Recommendation Scheme. A list of courses available for entry is available here or on our application form.

Offers will be made in the Early UAC round at the beginning of December.

All offers are unconditional, and will be made for Semester 1 2012 entry into a University of Canberra undergraduate course.

Please note: Successful students will be advised to take part in the Smart Study Passport Program to prepare them for university study.
