...while others might require you to watch a motion picture on DVD.

The type of publication you need will:

  • depend on the assigned problem you are trying to solve
  • determine which tools (e.g. catalogue, databases or Internet search tool), if any, to use when searching for information.

When deciding what types of publication you need, think about how the information evolves from an event or idea to published information:
