1.3 Map your ideas |
Once you have completed any background reading, consider what you know. Mapping your ideas sharpens the focus of your assignment and assists in determining search terms when you begin searching for information. Use a concept map to help organise your ideas. Your tutor can advise if your concepts and ideas are on the right track.
Try not to spend too much time organising the material. It is more important to record all your ideas. What are your information needs for this assignment? For more information on concept maps, Keystone Central School District (Pennsylvania, USA) have developed a demonstration [3 mins.] |
