How to Pay for Parking

All visitors to campus, including staff, students and affiliates, are able to park on the Bruce campus in casual car parks. These car parks are identified by blue entry gates. A 30 minute grace period is applicable before casual parking rates apply. There is no casual parking available at the Scrivener building.

Please note that UC does not accept cash payments for parking. Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Scheme debit or prepaid card. Parking charges can be paid on exit by inserting or swiping your credit card at the exit boom gate, or at the yellow ticket machine located in the Hub, outside the Commonwealth Bank.

  6. To use your prepaid tickets, simply insert a prepaid ticket when exiting the car park. It is recommended that you discard the ticket taken on entry to the casual car parking areas to prevent confusion with your prepaid tickets.

  9. Please choose your parking option carefully as there are no refunds.

When can I purchase a 2018 permit?

Please refer to the parking rates page to review and select the most appropriate option for your circumstances, as there are no refunds on parking purchases.

Residential Students

  • There is no dedicated parking at Cooper Lodge and UC Lodge.  You can choose to purchase a student Parking Permit which will give you 24/7 parking access to the permit only car parks whilst your permit remains valid.
  • Campus Living Villages Residents may purchase student parking through CLV. This does not provision access to UC car parks.
  • Weeden Lodge paid parking users will also be granted a permit to access Campus Parking - contact the Campus Services Office located in Building 8 (next to Library) for assistance.

Staff are defined as University personnel who may have a continuing, fixed-term, full time or part time employment status. Casual and sessional staff should refer to the Affiliate Parking option to purchase your Parking Permit.

In addition to casual paid parking or prepaid casual parking options, staff may elect to purchase a fortnightly recurring parking permit through the completion of the Salary Deductions e-form. Access to the 'yellow' boom gated car parks and the Scrivener car park is via a valid Parking Permit.

You can cancel your salary deduction via the Salary Deductions e-form. Please note that, at least one deduction will be applied to your fortnightly pay.  If you have just completed the form and wish to cancel this deduction, please email Payroll immediately.  Any delay in notifying Payroll could result in one deduction being applied to your fortnightly pay.

You can use the Salary Deductions e-form to apply for another salary deduction. Your previous deduction will cease at the date you've selected, and any future deduction can only commence after this date. You can only apply for a new deduction within 5 days of the previous deduction's end date.
