UC Chorale

About the Choir

UC Chorale is a community choir with the primary purpose of enjoying the creation of music with others. No audition is required to join, but the secondary, and no less important purpose, is to present a quality performance of serious music at least twice each year.  To achieve this, each choir practice is a combination of tuition and singing.  Tuition can include rhythm, music reading, voice production and an appreciation of the composer and the structure of the work to be performed.  A commitment by choir members is an essential pre-requisite for quality performances.

The University of Canberra is the home of the choir which is self funding.  All costs are met from choir members fees, sponsporships, ticket sales and fund raising activities.

Repertoire

The UC Chorale sings a variety of repertoire, and at the moment is concentrating on Bach Cantatas and Masses.
