InSpire JAM Chinese Delegation visits the University of Canberra

A five member delegation from the Renmin University of China (RUC) visited the University of Canberra in March, 2012. They were welcomed by Vice-Chancellor Stephen Parker, Pro Vice-Chancellor Monique Skidmore and several Deans.

InSpire JAM 220 more student beds available as new UC accommodation opens

Student accommodation for 220 students in the heart of Belconnen is now available with the completion of Weeden Lodge, which was formally opened by ACT Chief Minister Katy Gallagher.

InSpire JAM Global Service JAM

The INSPIRE centre was host to the Global Service JAM (http://www.globalservicejam.org) an international participatory conference to 'change the world in 48hrs'. The event launched on Friday 24th Feb at 16.45pm with a 'What's it all about' presentation, followed with the announcement of this years theme, brainstorming sessions and a design thinking presentation. Participants travelled from all over Australia to contribute.

FAD BBQ FAD welcome BBQ

Students from the Faculty of Arts and Design were welcomed in February with a BBQ. Students cooked up Japanese pancakes and built paper chairs.


Womens lunch Women as leaders in sport and business on agenda at UC

Some of the capital's most successful women have discussed their experiences and the opportunities for women in sport and business at a function at the University of Canberra.

The W-League: Women in Sport and Business Luncheon was hosted by the University of Canberra, Capital Football and RSM Bird Cameron and MC'd by Canberra United star Grace Gill.

Brumbies Launch University of Canberra Brumbies set for Super Rugby success

The University of Canberra will be the naming rights partner for the Brumbies for the 2012 Super Rugby Season. The University of Canberra Brumbies, as they will be known, already have a close relationship with the University and there are significant mutual benefits from the partnership.
