US sustainability scholar speaks at UC

23 December 2013:  Fulbright Scholar Andrew Dannenberg from the University of Washington led an intensive week-long short course at the University of Canberra on healthy and sustainable places last month.

During his visit, Professor Dannenberg, a world-renowned researcher on healthy urban environments, also delivered a public lecture on ‘Healthy Cities’ as part of the University’s Canberra Urban and Regional Futures’ Centenary Seminar Series 2013.

Well known for his leadership in addressing the health challenges faced by urban environments, Professor Dannenberg shared his ideas with other experts in the field, to try to create an understanding of the impact that environments have on human health.
