Power to the tribe, GTM line-up announced

15 February 2012: Pack your feathers and precious stones...the line-up for this year’s Groovin’ the Moo has been announced and the University of Canberra will again play host to the popular music festival.

With a history of sell-out events, fans are urged to get in quick to secure tickets to the much anticipated festival boasting acts such as the Hilltop Hoods, Kaiser Chiefs, Public Enemy and more.

Now in its eighth year, GTM is Australia’s only touring regional event with shows in Bendigo (VIC), Townsville (QLD), Maitland (NSW), Bunbury (WA) and Canberra (ACT).

Organisers have secured a record 10 international artists that will take to the stage for a ritual of musical and communal expression.

GTM promoter Stephen Halpin said he was excited about the 2012 line-up.

“There are so many fresh locals, festival favourites and breaking internationals to keep the outdoor stages rocking and the Moolin Rouge banging,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to checking out Chiddy Bang, plus Mutemath and The Maccabees who are making their first tours of Australia. I'm sure everyone will give them a friendly GTM welcome.”
