New UC labs to help conserve Australian wildlife

3 September 2010: Research to understand how sex is determined and to track down invasive species has received a boost with the opening of new laboratory facilities at the University of Canberra.

The Wildlife Genetics Laboratory and the new Trace DNA Lab will focus on the study of Australian wildlife, including research in marine and freshwater turtles, dragon lizards, geckos, skinks, and many invasive species such as feral cats, foxes, deer and pigs.
