Jared Tallent

Jared will be competing in the 20km walk at the Commonwealth Games.

Jared, in 2005 at age 20 was the youngest member of the Australian Athletics team to compete at the World Championships in Helsinki. He was placed 18th in the 20 km walk in a good time of 1:23.42.

Jared is studying for his Bachelor in Education (Secondary Physical Education) at the University of Canberra. He also works as a tour guide at the AIS.
