Andrew Richards

Swimming the butterfly, Andrew will be making his Commonwealth Games debut in Melbourne.  

Andrew has won three Australian Short Course titles. He holds the Australian Short Course 200m fly record, won a silver at the 2004 Oceania Championships was a relay finalist at 2005 FINA World Championships and he won a relay silver medal at 2004 FINA World Short Course Championships Andrew was a bronze medallist in 100m and 200m butterfly at Telstra Trials in Melbourne earlier this year.  

He spent four years completing an IT diploma after school and has just enrolled in a Bachelor in Coaching Science.  

Andrew has been swimming since he was seven.
