Nathan Deakes

Nathan has an outstanding record as an athlete. He recorded the World's Fastest Time for the 20km walk in 2005, he was the Telstra, Male Athlete of the Year in 2004, was a bronze medallist in the 2004 Olympic Games and a Dual Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist in 2002.

A week before launching the Celebrating Excellence: Commonwealth Games Website, Nathan broke the Australian National Record and the Australian All-Comers Record at the Telstra 'A' Series Melbourne (IAAF World Athletics Tour).

Nathan is studying a double degree in law and commerce.
