Vivaldi inspiration for UC design exhibition

University of Canberra graphic design technology students have been inspired by Vivaldi's Four Seasons to create an exhibition of work that reflects the maestro's most famous concertos.

The first year students were asked to create an interpretative poster based on the music to illustrate one of the seasons.   The posters combine imagery, colour and a personal response in the form of a poem, song or words to complete the visual communication.

Students have used a combination of photography, scanning and digitally manipulated original artwork to complete the posters.

Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Division of Health, Design & Science, Professor Sue Thomas will officially open the exhibition at 6pm, Wednesday August 9.

Seasons exhibition will run from Wednesday August 9 to Friday August 25 at the Design Gallery, Building 7, Pantowara Street, University of Canberra.
