UC meets with community to discuss education needs of Young region

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canberra, Professor Roger Dean, together with his advisory committee, are meeting in Young for two days to discuss the current trends in higher education and how the University can continue to service the needs of local business and the community.

Whilst in Young, Professor Dean and his colleagues will meet with local community, education and business leaders as well as former students of the University in a community forum on Thursday 29 June, 2006.   The forum will be held at local business, Back to Back Financial Planners.

There are already strong links between the Young community and the University of Canberra, and Professor Dean is keen to continue to build on these linkages.  

"Young students are consistently high achievers at the University of Canberra and their input is highly valued by the whole University community," Professor Dean said.
