Media alert: corporate governance research

University of Canberra academics will publicise their initial findings on what is the most comprehensive study on corporate governance in the Australian public sector, at an international governance conference in March.

Funded by the Australian Research Council, it is the first major study to focus specifically on recent corporate governance practices in the public sector and includes the issue of how far the APS should go in adopting private sector governance.

The conference is hosted by the University of Canberra and will be held from March 8 - 10 at Old Parliament House. Eminent national and international speakers will speak on a range of corporate governance issues across all levels of government and private sectors.
