Edward O'Daly

Ed runs the University of Canberra media and communications office.

His responsibilities include responding to media enquiries, issuing media releases, and editing the University's print and online magazine, Monitor.

Ed's background is in journalism, working as a newspaper reporter in the UK before moving to Canberra and the mysterious world of university public relations in 2003.

Other highlights of Ed's varied CV include working as an English teacher in China and a shop assistant at London's famous Harrods department store.

Amanda Powell

Amanda joined the media team in September 2009, after spending two years as a reporter on WIN News in Canberra.

Amanda completed her journalism degree in Townsville in 2003, before moving south and in front of the camera to present the news updates for Southern Cross Ten.

Amanda also worked as a weekend newsreader at 2CC, 2CA, 104.7 and Mix 106.3.

When she's not chasing stories on campus, Amanda enjoys cooking, snowboarding and National Tae Kwon Do.
