When you study at UC, your creativity will run wild in a studio environment tailor-made for collaboration and innovation.

As an Industrial Design student, you’ll learn how to develop products from inception to completion by planning the manufacturing process; implementing exciting design and prototyping methods, materials and processes; and applying advanced 2D and 3D digital design technologies.

As a Visual Communication student, you’ll use different visual media types across print, screen and packaging; craft high-impact solutions for clients; and cultivate your personal design style as you hone your visual vocabulary and technical skills.

As an Interaction Design student, you’ll design and prototype interactive products; master your knowledge of usability and accessibility; and experiment with cutting-edge tools to build and manage your screen-based and physical creations.

All Design degrees incorporate multiple compulsory WIL units to cater to each level of your study with a mentoring organisation or agency of your choice.

Previous Industrial Design students have worked with the likes of Breville, Sunbeam, Tiller Design, Blue Sky Design, SKEEHAN, and TransitGraphics.

Visual Communication Design students have connected with high-profile brands and agencies including BMW, Australian Tax Office and the National Museum of Australia, as well as local industry leaders FASHFEST, Zoo Group and Cre8ive.

Interaction Design students undertake an internship with a company of their choice, from government departments to design firms. Past students have collaborated on projects for clients including Questacon, website companies and exhibition organisers.
