Lu Rees Archives of Australian Children's Literature

Research Materials

A volunteer in the Lu Rees Archives

As part of our service to researchers, the Lu Rees Archives collects materials about authors, illustrators, publishers and critics of Australian children's literature. With these materials we create research files. These files contain items such as articles, reviews, publicity material, transcripts, biographical and bibliographical notes, artwork and manuscripts. In total, there are 30 categories of materials that we try to collect on authors and illustrators.

We also hold in addition to the above:

  • The Walter McVitty Publishing Archive
  • The Artists' Artwork Collection
  • The Childrens' Book Council of Australia Childrens' Book Week Artwork Collection
  • Publishers' Files
  • Critics' Files
