Making Donations

Wish List

The Archives aims to complete our holdings of major authors and illustrators, including all editions and reprints, and overseas translations. Our present wish list is the Hesba Brinsmead wish list, which provides details of these missing books. Any assistance with this list that you can provide would be gratefully acknowledged. We may be contacted at lu.rees@canberra.edu.au.

Monetary Donations

The Lu Rees Archives gratefully receives monetary donations into its Future Fund. Such donations enable us to pursue a range of activities and to achieve short and long-term goals. Annual reports provide details about many of these achievements.

The Lu Rees Archives has been endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) by the Australian Taxation Office under Subdivision 20-BA of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997. This entitles donors to make monetary gifts to the Archives. The Archives will acknowledge such gifts, and the monetary value of that gift can be itemised as a deduction on the donor's income tax returns in the year of donation. For further details see our donation form.

The provision for gift deductibility is listed as item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997, item 4 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997, Subdivision 30-D of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997. The Archives is classified for these purposes as 12.1.2 public library.

On the Australian Business Register, the Archives' legal name is CHILDRENS BOOK COUNCIL ACT BRANCH LUREES ARCHIVES and its trading name is LU REES ARCHIVES.

The Archives has also been endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as an income exempt charitable entity under Suddivision 50-5 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997, Item 1.1 - charitable institution.
