When is chat available?
The chat service is available during the following times:
- Semesters 1 & 2: From 10:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
- Winter Term: From 2 to 5pm Monday to Friday.
- Holidays: Not Available

How does Chat work?
Type your question in the chat box and press “enter” on the keyboard. A librarian will then try to help you.
Your session will be completely anonymous, unless you tell us your name. We would also appreciate any feedback you have about the service.
What type of questions can I ask on Chat?
The Chat service is primarily research related, common example questions we receive include:
- How can I find journal articles for my assignment?
- I am having trouble accessing databases from home, can you help?
- The Library doesn’t have a copy of a book I need – what can I do?
- How do I access past exam papers?
- How do I book a study room in the Library?
