The Short Loan Collection, located on Level B of the Library, contains prescribed texts and recommended reading material as selected by academic staff. Items in this collection are for either 3 hour or 7 day loan.

You may use the items from this collection within the Short Loan Area while the Library is open.

If you wish to borrow any items from the Short Loan Collection, take the item/s and your current identification card to the Information and Loans Desk. You may only borrow two 3 hour loan items at any time.

All Short Loan material should be returned to the Returns Chute located near the Information and Loans Desk on Level B.

Fines apply to all items in the Short Loan Collection.

If a 3 hour item is borrowed within 3 hours of the Library's closing time, it may be kept overnight, but must be returned by opening time the following day. These items should be returned in the After Hours Return Chutes, outside the Library entrance, when the Library is closed or in the Returns Chute at the Information and Loans Desk at opening time.

Please note - external borrowers may use the material from the Short Loan Collection in the area, but may not borrow these items.
