UC Research Repository

The Research Repository is the University of Canberra's open access digital repository for preserving and disseminating research outputs from UC staff. You can search the Repository by author or topic and instructions for depositing your research are available on the Repository Information website.

HERDC (Higher Education Research Data Collection) outputs are also reported via the Research Repository.

UC Research Office

The Research Office provides ongoing support and guidance to all researchers on campus. This includes UC staff, adjuncts and Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Students.

Policy for HDR Courses: Gold Book

The Gold Book sets out University policy and practice relating to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Professional Doctorate and Masters by Research degrees. It includes policy on supervision of research students, admission, progress, examination and completion.  

Journal rankings and impact factors

A ranked journal list of Australian and international titles, produced for the Excellence for Research in Australia, is available from the Australian Research Council.

The Journal Impact Factor is a measure of the frequency in which the average article in a journal has been cited in a particular year or years. The Journal Citation Reports database provides impact factors for the sciences and social sciences but covers only Thomson Reuters listed journals and has a limited number of local titles.

Open Access

Open access publishing is the provision of online access to scholarly material without charge to the reader.
