What is Open Access Publishing?Open access publishing is the provision of online access to scholarly material without charge to the reader. The benefits of open access publishing apply both to the readers who receive prompt, free access and to the authors who receive inexpensive worldwide exposure and publicity, considerably increasing its citation and impact. The open access movement has focused specifically on the field of to scholarly scientific journal material. There are two main forms of open access, with many variations.
