Word processor compatibility

EndNote X is compatible with the following word processing and text formats:

• Cite While You Write feature: Microsoft Word 2000, XP or 2003
• RTF Document Scan: works with other word processors that can save documents to Rich Text Format, including WordPerfect, StarOffice, OpenOffice, FrameMaker and more

System and Hardware Requirements:

• Windows 2000 or XP
• Pentium or compatible, 450-MHz minimum
• Hard disk with 180MB available
• 256MB RAM
• CD-ROM drive
• Internet connection required to search Internet databases
• EndNote files are compatible across Windows and Macintosh platforms (same version)

Word processor compatibility

EndNote X is compatible with the following word processors:

• Cite While You Write feature: Microsoft Word X, 2004
• RTF Document Scan: works with RTF (Rich Text Format) files created by many word processors including OpenOffice, FrameMaker, AppleWorks and more

System and Hardware Requirements:

• System versions 10.3.9, 10.4.x
• PowerPC Macintosh G4, 450 MHz or higher
• Hard disk with 180MB available
• 256 MB RAM
• CD-ROM drive
• Internet connection required to search Internet databases
• EndNote files are compatible across Windows and Macintosh platforms
