EndNote X (10) for Windows
Word processor compatibility
EndNote X is compatible with the following word processing and text formats:
- Cite While You Write feature: Microsoft Word 2000, XP or 2003
- RTF Document Scan: works with other word processors that can save documents to Rich Text Format, including WordPerfect, StarOffice, OpenOffice, FrameMaker and more
System and Hardware Requirements
- Windows 2000 or XP
- Pentium or compatible, 450-MHz minimum
- Hard disk with 180MB available
- 256MB RAM
- CD-ROM drive
- Internet connection required to search Internet databases
- EndNote files are compatible across Windows and Macintosh platforms (same version)

Word processor compatibility
EndNote X is compatible with the following word processors:
- Cite While You Write feature: Microsoft Word X, 2004
- RTF Document Scan: works with RTF (Rich Text Format) files created by many word processors including OpenOffice, FrameMaker, AppleWorks and more

- System versions 10.3.9, 10.4.x
- PowerPC Macintosh G4, 450 MHz or higher
- Hard disk with 180MB available
- 256 MB RAM
- CD-ROM drive
- Internet connection required to search Internet databases
- EndNote files are compatible across Windows and Macintosh platforms
