How to Read Case Citations

Example of a case citation:

Mabo v Queensland [No.2] 1992 175 CLR 1
- Name of the parties
- Date that decision of the court was delivered (handed down)
- Volume number of the Law report series (where reported)
- Abbreviation of that report series
- First page of the report

To read case citations, find abbreviations
