More and more of the Library’s resources can be used via your mobile phone. Details will be added to the list below as new resources become available:

Library Catalogue

The Library Catalogue automatically redirects mobile phones to a mobile optimised site. Features:

  • Search the catalogue
  • Save results to a handy list of titles and call numbers (smartphones only)
  • Access your Library account
  • Opening hours
  • Contact the Library
  • Access mobile-friendly Library databases

Android and iPhone users can also download "Library Anywhere" from their app store to access the mobile site.

EBSCO databases

  • Basic keyword search
  • Email results
  • Includes ‘search for article’ link to find articles in other Library databases
  • View 'html' full text articles (PDF articles can be viewed - not recommended)

  • iPhone app available

Micromedex Martindale

  • Micromedex Drug Information (iOS): Free app available from the iTunes store for iPhone and iPad - includes concise information, contraindications, etc on 4500+ drugs. Information is stored on your device for quick access.
  • Mobile version of the database is available for Blackberry, Palm, and Pocket PC. Log in to Micromedex Martindale on your desktop computer and click on the Handheld PDA tab for setup instructions.

PubMed

  • Keyword search for citations and abstracts
  • Mobile site redirects to the full site to view abstracts

RefWorks Mobile

  • Browse your current RefWorks references
  • Add references using the ‘Smart Add’ keyword search function
  • Does not allow references to be added manually. Smart Add will not necessarily find all references
  • Requires UC Library Group Code – find this in your welcome email from RefWorks or contact the Library's Research Assistance Desk

EndNoteWeb

EndNote does not currently offer a separate mobile-friendly site.

Scopus iPhone app: Scopus Alerts (Lite)

Free iPhone app for this researchers' citation database. You must register on the University's Scopus website to create a personal profile before using Scopus Alerts.

  • Keyword search
  • View (limited) references
  • Optional push alerts for saved searches
  • Email or tweet article citations
  • Does not sync with your saved citations and alerts in the web version
