The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor comprises of:

  • the portfolio areas of the InSPIRE Centre, University Art Collection, University of Canberra College, Academic Policy & Review, and the office of the Dean of Students.

  • support services including the University Library, Academic Skills Centre and, the Teaching & LearningCentre. 

  • the Reconciliation Action Plan: an inclusive program based on "consulting with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Australians within our community to ensure mutual respect and positive relationships between people of different cultures".

InSPIRE-th

INSPIRE Centre

In partnership with the ACT Department of Education & Training (DET), the University of Canberra's INSPIRE Centre will lead information communication technology (ICT) pedagogy and practice to advance a practical vision for education with technology in the 21st century. The vision will be informed by research and development on the innovative application of ICT to improve learning and achievement in diverse educational settings. Positioned in the portfolio of the DVC(E), INSPIRE will spearhead innovation in the use of technology in education and form a central plank in the schools component of our "UC for Life" strategy.

Library

The University of Canberra Library aims to provide a range of quality information resources, services and facilities. Library staff endeavor to deliver services that support the needs of a diverse community of learners, teachers, and researchers; and strive to be responsive and innovative contributors to the academic life of the University. Student Equity & Support

The Dean of Students works to improve the student experience through the development of programs, policies, services and initiatives. Responsibilities include student equity and running a range of support and outreach programs e.g. the Aspire UC Program.

Academic Policy & Review (APR)

The Academic Policy & Review group is based in the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) and is fundamental to the teaching and learning at the University of Canberra. APR Director, Gay Landau oversees the unit that is responsible for academic policy and course approvals.

Teaching & Learning Centre (TLC)

As part of the DVC(E) portfolio, the Teaching & Learning Centre (TLC) works collaboratively with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), Associate Deans (Education) and faculties to provide an evolving range of programs and projects that help inform and achieve the University's strategic direction in education, underpinned by international higher education research and practice.
