 Five years of trend performance data at University and Faculty level benchmarked with sector and Group of Six (Go6) universities. The KPIs also set targets for 2012 at University and Faculty level. Some of the KPIs will be used by the Commonwealth to assess University performance and reward excellence.
UC Course Experience Questionnaire (UC CEQ)

 Measures student experience of the course of study. Survey conducted annually. Proposal to review the tool to measure total student experience including course outcomes and various support services biennially.
Australian Graduate Survey (AGS) including Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) and Graduate Destination Survey (GDS)

 YES DVC-E Annual survey targeted at all graduates to assess course experiences and graduate outcomes. Data used by Commonwealth to assess teaching quality and reward excellence. AGS allows national benchmarking and possible international benchmark with National Student Survey (NSS) with selected institutions in the UK.
UC-Unit Satisfaction Surveys

 YES DVC-E Measures student satisfaction of the unit and the teacher. The tool uses the core items in the national CEQ which enables benchmarking at unit and course level. Although this tool is new, it needs to be reviewed based on the current trends in student satisfaction in higher education.
Australian University Survey of Student Engagement (AUSSE)

 YES DVC-E Survey conducted by Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) on the extent to which students are engaged in learning. The results allow benchmarking with more than 30 other universities.
Performance Development and Review Process (PDR)

 YES VC/DVC-E PDR is used to assess and reward individual staff performance using a range of performance data such as teaching and research.
