The UCU Shop

The UCU Shop and Post Office cater for all of your stationery, news agency, postal needs and other commodities, plus post box and like requirements. There is a ticketek desk where you can book tickets to all major events around the country.The Post Office is an agency for Western Union.

UC Hair Salon and Canberra Body Piercing Clinic

The UC Hair Salon provides complete hairdressing services for men and women - by appointment - as well as a full body piercing clinic offering tongue, ear, navel, tragus, nose, labret, lip, eyebrow and nipple piercing.

Bookshop

The University Cooperative Bookshop. Anyone can buy books at the Bookshop without becoming a member of the Co-operative, but members receive discounts.

Banking

The Commonwealth Bank provides full banking services including investment and lending facilities and welcomes enquiries regarding campus loans.

SERVICE ONE Members Banking offers a competitive range of financial products and services and is committed to excellence in member service. SERVICE ONE also provides other financial services to the University. 

Location: Student Central, at the southern end of Building 1, Concourse level.

Eating

UCU Refectory

The UCU Refectory has a wide range of food available for your convenience. From Halal food to fruit salad and yoghurt, all is available. Visit UC Eat for further details.

Sizzle Cafe

Sizzle specialises in oriental cuisine - sushi, teriyaki, tempura and noodle dishes - but you will also find foccacia, gelato, cake and coffee.

Cafe Retro

Zierholz@UC

This is the university "pub" with a range of locally produced beers on tap. It also supplies non-alcoholic beverages and a range of meals. In conjunction with UCU and the recently renovated UC Theatre, Zerholz@UC will provide an additional venue on campus for music and entertainment.

Semesters

Semesters is open for coffee, cake, and sandwiches from 10.30am to 3.30pm and we also offer a lunchtime menu service. The regular opening hours are:

  • Coffee Service Mon – Fri, 10.30am –12.00 noon, and 2.00pm to 3.30pm
  • Lunch Service Mon – Fri, 12 noon to 2.00pm
