Open your Bank accountTake your student card and other identification with you when you apply for a student account with any of the local banks (Student accounts are free of annual bank fees). A branch of the Commonwealth Bank is located on campus. Please note: It might take a few working days for your key card, needed to access your bank account from automatic teller machines, to arrive. Working while you study?Please make sure you are able to balance study and work, and make sure you work legally as permitted in your visa. You will need a tax file number and a work permit, both easy to get, to work in Australia.
