The Ngunnawal Indigenous Higher Education Centre
Located on campus is the Ngunnawal Indigenous Higher Education Centre, a support centre for all Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students. The Centre provides staff and students with a space to relax and learn in a comfortable environment. The Centre feels like a “home away from home” especially for students moving from interstate. Students regularly hold social events such as BBQ’s, ten pin bowling and trivia nights.
The Centre also provides tutorial support through the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS) and has the facilities to help you successfully complete your studies including a Meeting Room and Computer Lab.
For those who don't gain direct entry or feel that they are not yet ready for university study, the University also offers Advancement Programs to assist. This includes the Foundation Program, which is delivered by the Ngunnawal Centre and provides academic and pastoral support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
