Lectures can be recorded digitally and made available for on-demand streaming via the Web. Some lectures may also be available for viewing live. Most lectures are captured as audio only, however there is equipment in some rooms (2B7, 2B9, 2B11 and 14B1) to record images from the data projector or from a ceiling mounted video camera. Please note that the recording system is fully automated and the recording starts when the lecture was scheduled to start. This may mean there is a period of inactivity at the start of the stream. You will be informed by your lecturer if your subject is recorded digitally. Hardware/software requirementsTo access the online lectures for your subject you need the following:

Note: If the Windows Media Player does not start, it may not be installed on your computer. A direct link to this service may also be available from the Web page or WebCT site for your subject. Note: This service is intended as a backup to lecture attendance, NOT a replacement.
