Computer Centre Services

The map of facilities in Building 10, Level A shows the location of the Service Desk and the laboratories. Refer to the online campus maps for the location of the Computer Centre (building 10).

NOTE: Building 10 Laboratories are available 24 hours x 7 days.

Access to Building 10 outside the Service Desk operating times requires a valid University of Canberra ID Card. Access can only be gained through the Main Entrance.

Audio Visual Services

Audio Visual Services are supported by dedicated AV staff and are located in Building 10 on level B. For students requiring Audio Visual assistance, a telephone is located at the top of the stairs.

NOTE: Students are unable to borrow equipment from Audio Visual Services. It is the responsibility of the lecturer or tutor to arrange with Audio Visual Services for the loan of any equipment that is required for student presentations or course work. The only Audio Visual Service available to students is the screening of videos in category A lecture and tutorial rooms.

Cashier Services - Available at Student Centre (UCSC)

The Student Centre is the ‘one-stop-shop’ for all students’ general administrative needs, including help with how to enroll on the University’s enrolment system, advice on fee issues, and information on graduation. Cashier services are also available for a range of student payment of fees and charges including:

·       Student Network Accounts
·       Print Credit Accounts
·       Library Sanctions

Office hours for the Student Centre are:
9.00 am 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am 4.30pm on Friday
(Cashier services are not available after 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 4.00pm on Friday)

How do I add money to my printing account?

You can deposit money on one of the autoloaders in either Building 10 or the Library, you will need your Student ID Card. For EFTPOS and credit cards, use the Student Centre cashier in Building 1.

Note: there is a $10 minimum on EFTPOS and credit card transactions.

Refunds for printing credit and internet charges?

Please note for student refunds a processing fee of $5.00 is applicable. (This does not apply to graduating students or recent graduates).

Software Loans

Students can borrow software on CD from the Library Loans Desk, Building 8. The following software is available for 48 hour loan:
