Divisions within the University run and maintain additional file servers for their students. You may be required to access or store files on these servers. To access these servers:

1. Click on the Mac Face in the Dock to get the Finder
2. Select "Connect to Server" from the "Go" menu
3. Enter the server address, e.g. myserver.canberra.edu.au OR choose a server from the list of favourites
   
    
   
4. Click "Connect" to connect to the server
5. Complete the authentication dialog. Note: Different file servers have different permissions; some file servers allow guest access and others require a username and password. Please ask your tutor or lecturer if a username and password are required.
6. An Icon with the file server's name will now appear in the Finder.

Both CD and DVD burning are only available in selected Macintosh laboratories. The Service Desk will provide advice and support for the burning of Data CD/DVD's only.
