Computing Access
Your Usercode and Password
You will need a University of Canberra Usercode and Password to:
- Log in to the computers in the Library (Building 8), and to other computers using the UCSTUDENT Domain
- Log in to electronic Library resources
- Use MyUC
- Use Email
- Access the Internet
Usercode
Your Usercode/Username/UserID logon will take the form:
- u###### OR u####### (depending on the number of digits in your Student ID number) for undergraduate and post graduate students
- el##### for ELICOS students
- cc##### for Canberra College students
Replacing the #s with your Student ID number.
Password
Students can obtain a Password on campus from the Library Research Assistance Desk. You will need to present your UC Student ID Card before a password can be assigned.
If you require a password and are not on campus, you must contact the Service Desk on 6201 5500. We do not assign passwords via email for security reasons. You may be required to provide additional information about yourself in order for the Service Desk staff to confirm your identity.
NOTE: Passwords ARE case sensitive.
Can I change my password?
You can change your password by following these steps:
- Go to the University of Canberra Homepage
- From the Quick Links, click on Current Students
- Click on Login to MyUC
- You will need to enter your username and password and then click login
- Click on MyAccess
- Click on Change Password and follow the prompts
What do I do if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, contact the Service Desk by phoning 6201 5500 and ask for your password to be reset.
NOTE: We are unable to issue new passwords via email due to security reasons. If you email the Service Desk asking to have your password reset, you will receive a reply asking you to phone the Service Desk.
