- You will see the new printer names in the lefthand column. The printer name is also on a sticker that should be placed on your printer.
- All printer names are in the format “<Room Number>-<Largest Page Size>-BW/Colour-<number if more than one printer>”.

- For example – the first printer is 10A22a-A3-BW. This is the A3, Black & White printer in room 10A22a.
- The second column shows the printer's status – in this screenshot the status is green and showing “Ready”.
- The third column again shows the room number of the printer.
- The fourth column shows the number of jobs currently in the printer’s queue.
- The fifth column shows the model and type of the printer.
- The sixth column shows the printer’s previous name under the older printing system.
In the example below, we’ve clicked on 10B27-A4-BW.

In the screen shot above, you can see that the printer has no jobs waiting and that there are three categories of action:

- Document List (shown above)

- Allows you to see if jobs are in error, paused or working, and whether the printer is ready for jobs
- Properties

- Gives statistics on the printer's use and setup (only administrators can change this information)
- Device Status (example below)

- Shows the status of the printer’s LCD screen and the status of warnings, lights and paper trays

- Will pause the printer, effectively making it offline (only available to administrators)

- Allows the printer to be used again if paused (only available to administrators)

- Will ask if you would like to add this printer to your local computer. The printer will then become available to you to use from your desktop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can anyone access the printers or website?
No – only people logged into the UCSTAFF domain can use this system.
Will it work with my Mac?
Yes and no. You can access the website with your UCSTAFF account and check the status of the printer, however the website cannot create a printer queue for you.
Can I print from home?
No, network printing is not available off campus.
It doesn’t work at all for me – who can I call?
