General Information
ITM provisions and supports Mac and PC computer laboratories across campus and common use workstations in the Library.
Over 500 centrally supported computers are available to all students and staff of the University, computer locations can be found across campus in buildings 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11, with specific room locations for each building detailed at: http://www.canberra.edu.au/labs/
Facilities
- 17 bookable PC Laboratories
- 2 bookable Macintosh Laboratories
- Over 140 general usage computers
NOTE: Access to the labs and network facilities may be affected by maintenance requirements within the labs and on the network.
Operating Hours
During business hours:
Access to all labs managed by ITM is available on an unrestricted basis to all students, providing they have not been pre-booked by staff for teaching purposes.
Ad hoc usage PCs are available for student use in the Library (building 8) during semester.
After Hours:
The following computer laboratories, managed by ITM, are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (excluding Stone Day and the Christmas/New Year period): 11A42, 11A45, 11A46, 11A48, 11A49, 7A41, 7A43, 7A45 and 7A46.
After hours access to the above 24hr labs is gained via the use of your valid UC student or staff identity card. Access is restricted to main entrances where a card reader is located.
Maintenance activities:
Access to computer labs and network facilities may be affected by scheduled (or at short notice for emergency) maintenance activities.
Computer Availability
The Campus Lab Usage site (http://www.canberra.edu.au/labs/) shows the current free or in use status of computers in each location (note that vacant computers may nevertheless be unavailable if the lab is booked for teaching programs).
