The Bachelor of Communication in Public Relations degree program combines the study of communication practice and theory with a professional internship. It’s graduates have industry-ready skills. Academics in the program teach public relations theory, practice and strategy, and integrated communication. Each convenes individual units in the program and teaches in colleagues’ units. The University of Canberra’s strategic position in the national capital enables staff and students to interact with professional communication practitioners in a range of consultancies, businesses, industry associations, diplomatic missions and national institutions as well as the Australian and ACT Governments. The successful applicant for this continuing, full-time position will have a Doctorate or the equivalent professional accreditation and standing in communication practice. The Bachelor of Communication in Public Relations course is one of three professional communication degrees offered by the Faculty. Selection Criteria:In determining experience relative to qualifications, the University considers teaching experience, experience in research, experience outside tertiary education, creative achievement, professional contributions and/or to technical achievement. Essential:1. Academic qualifications, at Doctoral level, or equivalent accreditation and standing, and recognised significant experience in the relevant discipline area. 2.
